Description
A focused, site-driven interpretation of this historic vineyard, sourced from well-placed parcels and vinified with the estate’s trademark precision. The wine opens with layered aromas of red and dark berries, violets and subtle spice, followed by a palate that combines depth with freshness and finely worked tannins. Oak is present but integrated, framing the fruit rather than dominating it, while the finish shows clarity and persistence. Charles Curtis MW of Decanter describes the wine as “voluptuous, heady and marvellously concentrated.” This is a Clos de Vougeot that favours balance and definition over sheer weight, offering both early appeal and the structure to age confidently. Drink 2026 to 2045.
