Description

From vines planted in 1972, high above the Pacific on Sonoma’s remote coast, Kutch’s 2022 Bohan Vineyard Pinot Noir captures an extraordinary meeting of old-vine depth and maritime freshness. Fermented with 50% whole clusters and matured in neutral French oak, it layers black cherry, strawberry and dark plum with violet, pepper, black tea and savoury forest-floor detail. The palate is silky yet firmly structured, carried by bright acidity and polished tannins. Jamie Goode awarded 95 points, praising its freshness, suppleness and wide dynamic range. Jancis Robinson’s 17+ points underline its seriousness and persistence. Approachable with decanting, it will reward patience: begin drinking from 2027, with its most expressive years likely unfolding between 2030 and 2045.
