Last time we did this, they sold out before we could hit send
Dhondt-Grellet, Bérêche, Vilmart. Three growers, one case.

I hope everyone's having a great summer! Thanks to everyone who picked up some of the Billaud-Simon Chablis from the last offer. There's still a few cases left, so if you're looking for a mineral, bone dry white for these warm summer nights - grab some.

It’s been a few weeks since I got back from Pop & Hip-Hop in Champagne where the pairing of incredible music from the likes of Dilated Peoples paired perfectly with grower champagnes from all over the region. On the train home I put together a mixed case of some of the most exciting producers I sourced recently and asked for some feedback from customers who had previously bought champagne. The only problem was that everyone I showed it to took a case, so the wines were gone before I could hit send on the offer.
The good news is I’ve been able to secure a few cases of some of those growers and have put together a mini 3-pack selection for you.
First up, Dhondt-Grellet, Les Terres Fines, Blanc de Blancs, Premier Cru, NV. Chardonnay from old vines grown in chalky soils in the Côte des Blancs. Farmed biodynamically, ploughed by an actual horse called Thor. This might be the most insider bottle in the case, the one you pour if you want people to know you know.
Second, Bérêche et Fils, Reserve Brut, NV. If Dhondt-Grellet is a linear and precise, this is a warm handshake. A third each of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier, mostly barrel-aged, from Ludes - a village just south east of Reims. Expect brioche and orchard fruit in abundance. This is a bottle that never fails to impress, but one that’s not so pricey you have to think twice about opening it.
Last but certainly not least, and this one you won't find easily by the bottle anywhere else, Vilmart, Grand Cellier d'Or, Premier Cru, 2013. Fifty year old vines in the Montagne de Reims. This is barrel-fermented, see no malolactic fermentation, and is from one of the best recent vintages, especially for chardonnay. This is serious, vinous Champagne built to age, and is probably the wine in this case that collectors will recognize most.
Today we’re offering all three, duty paid, for £180. Concierge delivery, in person, within the M-25. Not that courier that always leaves wine on your doorstep in the summer heat. Yours truly brings it to your door. If you're outside London and would like a case, shoot me a note and shipping will be billed separately at cost.
This is a mixed case I've curated because I’ve been able to source these wines at advantageous prices, and because they show diversity of what growers are capable of - precision, generosity, structure - and I want them on your tables, not just sitting in a bonded warehouse.

As always thank you for the support and hope to speak with you soon!
