Description
From vines approaching seventy years of age (named after the year the vines were planted – 1955), Cincuenta y Cinco represents the most delicate and transparent expression in the Chacra range. The 2022 shows cool-toned fruit, gentle spice and an undercurrent of savory complexity, all carried by precise acidity. Joaquin Hidalgo at Vinous (95 points) summed it up best: “This is a delicious Pinot Noir.” Fermented with native yeasts and matured in neutral wood, the emphasis remains firmly on texture and length rather than weight. It is a Pinot Noir that rewards attention, offering early charm alongside the structure to develop gracefully. Best enjoyed from now, with upside through 2035.
