Description
Domaine du Chancelier’s 2022 Bourgogne Aligoté ‘Les Terres Blanches’ Vieilles Vignes is a distinguished white Burgundy crafted from 100% Aligoté Doré grapes. Sourced from 75-year-old vines in the ‘Les Chevrières’ climat of Savigny-Lès-Beaune, this wine benefits from high-altitude, shallow limestone soils, imparting finesse and roundness. The vineyard is traditionally managed with low trellising and Guyot simple pruning. Hand-harvested at optimal ripeness, the grapes undergo meticulous sorting and are vinified without sulfur in 350L and 228L oak barrels. Aging on fine lees for approximately 12 months enhances complexity. The resulting wine exhibits a delicate nose with hints of hazelnut and almond, leading to a lively palate with fine acidity and a touch of minerality. With a limited production, ‘Les Terres Blanches’ exemplifies the elegance and precision characteristic of the Bourgogne Aligoté appellation.
