Description
From one of Meursault’s most celebrated Premier Cru vineyards, Henri Boillot’s 2018 Genevrières captures the generosity of the vintage without sacrificing precision. Aromas of green apple, ripe peach, spring blossom, honeycomb and praline unfold above a concentrated, chalky palate, where lively acidity and fine mineral grip bring poise to the wine’s creamy depth. Writing for The Wine Advocate, William Kelley gave it 93 points, admiring its structure, freshness and impressive dry extract. Jasper Morris rated it 92–95 and highlighted its floral, spicy complexity and exceptionally long finish. Already expressive, this distinguished Chardonnay will continue gaining savoury nuance. Good to go now with some time in the decanter or cellar confidently through 2045 under ideal storage conditions.
