Description
Rossignol-Trapet’s 2021 Latricières-Chambertin shows the lifted, classical character that defines this Grand Cru in cooler years. The site lies at the southern end of the Gevrey slope where cold air drains through the combe and preserves freshness. The wine opens with red and dark cherry, raspberry, rose petal and subtle earth, all carried by the firm mineral line that Latricières is known for. Tannins are fine and slightly chalky, giving shape without weight. The domaine’s gentle extraction and restrained oak keep the focus on purity and finesse. The result is a quietly confident Grand Cru that privileges detail over power and will gain complexity with time in bottle. Drink from 2027 through the mid 2030s.
