This Meursault sits at the sweet spot of village Burgundy: serious terroir, elite domaine, and the crystalline, reductive precision that has made these wines so sought after. Les Luchets is not a Premier Cru, but in Roulot’s hands it carries real pedigree, with the domaine’s holding extending to just over one hectare. In The Wine Advocate, William Kelley emphasizes the wine’s gently reductive profile, orchard fruit, white flowers and bread dough, before a palate of texture, lift and mineral definition. And for Vinous, Neal Martin highlights “a delightful dash of ginger on the finish that keeps you coming back for more.” In the context of 2022, a generous but impressively precise white Burgundy vintage, this should offer plenty of pleasure from the late 2020s while continuing to develop gracefully.
