Description
Few rosés are spoken of with the same reverence as Domaine Tempier’s, and the 2024 release reaffirms its place at the top of the category. Anchored by old-vine Mourvèdre and bolstered by Grenache and Cinsault, it offers remarkable structure and complexity. The vintage brings radiant citrus peel, blood orange, and peach skin aromatics, laced with wild herbs and sea spray. The palate is layered and precise, delivering a vinous expression that echoes fine white Burgundy more than a typical rosé.
Critics continue to praise Tempier’s ability to elevate Bandol rosé to ageworthy heights. La Revue du Vin de France calls it “the benchmark for Mediterranean rosé, at once mouthwatering and profound.” While utterly compelling today, this will evolve beautifully through 2028–2030 for those with the patience.
