Description
Domaine Trapet Père et Fils introduces a noteworthy milestone with the 2021 vintage: it is the first time En Ergot has been bottled as a standalone Premier Cru, previously blended into other cuvées. Situated just below Petite Chapelle on the mid-slope of Gevrey, this small, limestone-rich parcel delivers a refined, lifted expression of the village. The 2021 shows vibrant red berry fruit, gentle spice and floral detail, all carried by Trapet’s signature finesse and understated extraction. Supple tannins and a precise mineral line give the wine both clarity and quiet power. The cooler vintage accentuates purity and tension, making this inaugural release especially transparent and terroir driven. A beautiful debut with cellaring potential from 2028 through the late 2030s.
