Description
From Fuligni’s prized vineyards on Montalcino’s northeastern slopes, the 2020 Brunello marries ripe vintage character with the estate’s signature refinement, a compelling sense of place in every beautifully judged detail. Aromas of red cherry, raspberry and plum unfold into rose petal, woodland herbs, cedar and liquorice. Generous fruit fills the palate, sharpened by vibrant acidity, saline minerality and firm, polished tannins that carry the long, savoury finish. Its quality is underscored by 97 points from Audrey Frick of Jeb Dunnuck and Kerin O’Keefe, alongside 95 from Vinous, Decanter and James Suckling. Frick singled it out as a highlight of the vintage, admiring its freshness and energy. Decant for an hour alongside steak, lamb or game. Enjoy from 2026; patient collectors should look to 2028–2040 for greater harmony, perfume and complexity.
