Description
Maison du Chancelier’s 2022 Côte de Beaune ‘Les Monsnières’ is a distinguished white Burgundy crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes. The ‘Les Monsnières’ vineyard is situated at the edge of the Beaune mountain forest, characterized by stony limestone soils that impart balance and character to the wine. The 30-year-old vines are traditionally managed with low trellising and Guyot simple pruning. Hand-harvested at optimal ripeness, the grapes undergo meticulous sorting and are vinified without sulfur in oak barrels. The wine matures on its lees for approximately 12 months in 228L and 350L oak barrels, enhancing its complexity. This Côte de Beaune exhibits a clear, intense golden color, with a bouquet containing citrus and freshly mown grass. On the palate, it is lively and bright, with good acidity and a touch of minerality, reflecting its terroir. With a limited production, ‘Les Monsnières’ exemplifies the elegance and precision characteristic of the Côte de Beaune appellation.
