Description
From one of Meursault’s most closely watched new-generation names, Pierre Girardin’s 2019 Les Tillets is a smart way into serious Côte de Beaune Chardonnay without stepping into premier cru pricing. Girardin made his first vintage in 2017 after inheriting key family parcels, and The Wine Advocate’s William Kelley quickly highlighted the stir he was making, helped by an ambitious, meticulously equipped cellar in Meursault. The wine leans toward the lifted side of the village: white peach, citrus oil, light spice, discreet oak and a chalky, saline line through the finish. The 2019 vintage gives generosity, but Les Tillets brings shape and freshness. Drinking beautifully from 2026, with upside through 2032.
