Description
Masterful expression of Rioja Alavesa, crafted exclusively in exceptional vintages. Comprising 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano from 60-year-old vines, the wine undergoes meticulous grape selection, utilizing only the upper parts of the clusters for optimal concentration. Aged for over 40 months in new French oak, it delivers a complex bouquet of dark fruit, truffle, wild herbs, and liquorice, supported by fine tannins and a lingering finish.
Critics have lauded the 2010 vintage for its balance and elegance. Decanter describes it as a “powerful indulgence” with refined structure and depth. With an alcohol content of 14.0%, this wine is poised for longevity, offering a drinking window from 2020 to 2035.
