Description
Theo Dancer continues to push beyond Burgundy with this striking Grenache from high-altitude Aragon, sourced from old vines rooted in schist and slate. The 2023 captures the tension that defines his style – lifted aromatics of wild strawberry, blood orange and dried herbs, underpinned by a fine mineral spine. Fermentation with whole clusters and restrained extraction preserves clarity and energy, while élevage in neutral vessels avoids any gloss. This is Grenache reimagined – vivid, tensile, and quietly complex rather than opulent. Drink from 2026 to 2034, though its balance suggests it will evolve gracefully beyond. Production remains extremely limited, with demand increasingly global.
