Benjamin Leroux

Your favorite winemaker's favorite winemaker

WHAT IS UP Y'ALL?! YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS!
I’ve just returned from Burgundy, still buzzing after an incredible few days at the fourth annual Vin et Hip-Hop extravaganza at Château du Clos de Vougeot. The warmth, generosity, food, wine - and of course, the beats - were next level. I could go on, but I’ll spare you the play-by-play. Suffice to say, I’ll be back next year (and hope to see you there!).
Continuing the theme, today's offer is straight out of Côte-d'Or. A winemaker named Benjamin Leroux.
Plenty has been written about Benjamin from his ascendency as winemaker at Comte Armand, where he was heralded as the natural heir to Henri Jayer, to founding and building his own domaine into one of Burgundy’s most admired over the past decade. His wines consistently punch above their appellations - whether humble Aligoté, Saint-Romain, and Bourgogne, or grand terroirs like Bâtard-Montrachet, Vougeot, and Chambertin.
These are the bottles Burgundian winemakers actually drink when they get together: honest, balanced, and beautifully pitched between instant gratification and long-term potential. More than a decade in, there’s no doubt: Leroux is the real deal.
There are only a few cases of the wines offered below and, for some cuvees, only one available. So if you're interested, be sure to act quickly to avoid disappointment.
