Nick's First Picks for 2026
Because Your Cellar Doesn't Care About Dry January
I am about 11 days past my self-imposed new-year greeting deadline, but as this is my first outreach of 2026, I am allowing myself a small grace period.
First, thank you. 2025 exceeded every expectation I had when Avint-Garde went live in April last year. Your support, trust, and enthusiasm continue to energize me and make this little venture far more exciting than I could have imagined. I am genuinely buzzing for what is to come in the year ahead.
To kick off 2026, I wanted to spotlight a handful of wines that quietly landed in the warehouse at the tail end of last year. No region, producer, or format focus. Just what you have come to expect from Avint-Garde - great wines at even better, market-beating prices.
If hosting and merriment have caused your Champagne stock to run low, a few cases of Roederer’s latest multi-vintage release, carrying a a bit of Cristal DNA, are ready to be snapped up.
Prefer something rarer? There is a tightly allocated Bordeaux Blanc from a top chateau in a benchmark year.
Or a 98-point Hermitage stunner from a benchmark Rhone producer? Check.
And it wouldn’t be an AGFW offer without some Burgundy. Pierre‑Yves Colin‑Morey needs no introduction to white Burgundy lovers, and a freshly landed case is now available.
White-Glove Concierge Delivery and Free In-Bond Transfers
I'm away from the end of this week, so there will be no concierge deliveries this weekend, but if you need your wine quickly, order by Tuesday morning and I'll arrange for delivery on Wednesday. Otherwise, regular service will resume next weekend.
Nationwide two-day shipping also available - just select the option at checkout.
See something else on the site you want stored in bond? As always we’ll transfer to other UK warehouses at no cost. LCB and the other warehouses have come out of the holiday fog and transfers are happening with regularity now.
